Dear Colleagues,

We would like to thank every one of you very much for supporting the Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology (TAP) educational activities. Further to the excellent feedback on the TAP PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY THERAPEUTICS UPDATE 2008, between January 29 - 31, 2008, Antalya -Turkey we had requests to develop and initiate further educational activities involving frontline prescribing guidelines, daily clinical practice and psychopharmacology and clinical therapeutics.

We are therefore delighted to announce that TAP will be coordinating such a special congress to address “TAP PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY THERAPEUTICS UPDATE 2010 IN PSYCHIATRY” once every two years. The first of the “Therapeutics Update” will take place in sunny Antalya between March 11 - 14, 2010. In TAP PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY THERAPEUTICS UPDATE 2008, in addition to excellent national teachers and speakers, we also had excellent international contribution and speakers including David Baldwin, Robert Palmer, JohnCookson, David Osser, Harold Robertson, Malcolm Lader, Axel Wurz and Serdar Dursun. Also in TAP PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY THERAPEUTICS UPDATE 2010 excellent national teachers and speakers, and also excellent international contributors and speakers will take place .

The congress and the modules are designed to address day to day clinical psychopharmacological problems in psychiatry facing clinicians. Furthermore, psychopharmacological guidelines will be presented, there will be discussions on therapeutic options for treatment-resistant patients. We also have speakers who will take us to the future of psychopharmacology and present therapeutic hopes for patients with mental illnesses.
