4th International Congress on Psychopharmacology

The "4th International Congress on Psychopharmacology" will be held in Antalya on November 23-27, 2011 as one of the two major continuous events of the Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology (TAP).

Theme of the congress will be: "Innovations and continuity in psychiatry & psychopharmacology: better care for better health."

The 3rd National Psychopharmacology Congress took place in Istanbul on March 12-15, 2009 with attendance of 800 participants and provided a platform of discussion on the latest scientific data and experiences by renown scientists within the framework of evidence-based scientific algorithms.

The 4th International Congress on Psychopharmacology shall shall provide an elite atmosphere in Antalya for discussions, solutions, and practical suggestions about daily practice problems and issues. It shall also be a 5-day window of opportunity for you, distinguished colleagues, to refresh, update, and expand your knowledge in major and challenging domains of psychopharmacology, biological psychiatry, neuroscience, neuroimaging, etc. by contribution of competent Turkish and international speakers. The Congress creates an interactive platform, where all participants are encouraged to ask questions and share their experiences about difficult and treatment resistant cases and application of new and emerging approaches in the world to these cases are discussed by experts.

As always, the Congress shall bring together outstanding scientists from Turkey with the world renown scientists to share experiences and ideas on the latest developments in psychopharmacology at the conference, panel, bilateral and multilateral discussion sessions, and satellite symposia. This congress shall also dedicate time to 'meet the specialist' sessions and courses, which will be held by distinguished scientists of the field and certificates will be awarded to participants.

Abstracts of poster presentations submitted to the 4th International Congress on Psychopharmacology will be published in the latest issue of the Clinical Psychopharmacology Bulletin. This way, the papers submitted to the 4th Congress will become available at SCI-E.

The congress has been planned in three parallel sessions. The 4th congress also aims to realize a first in the field: congress theme and subjects to be covered, as well as possible speakers will be determined with your interactive participation and contribution. To do that, you must just log on to our website at Interactive Participation and convey us your choices and suggestions.

Furthermore, the now traditionalized "The Poster Presentation Research Incentive Awards" will also be presented at the 4th International Congress on Psychopharmacology to top-three posters selected by the jury. Also, the jury will determine recipients of "Young Researcher Scholarship of the Turkish Psychopharmacology Society (TAP)" and "The Career Development Scholarship." Finally the owners of selected research papers published in Volumes 19 and 20 of the Clinical Psychopharmacology Bulletin will be given "The Clinical Psychopharmacology Bulletin Research Awards" during the congress.
